DENTAL IMPLANTS

Bring Back Your Missing Teeth for Life

Whether you are missing a single tooth, all of them, or a number in between, dental implants can help you recover your full and healthy smile for decades to come. They work by placing small titanium posts within the jawbone to bring back tooth roots, and these provide a solid foundation for a new crown, bridge, or denture. Dr. Janelle Comfort has already used implants to help countless patients recover their oral health and confidence in Santa Ana, and she’s ready to do the exact same for you. Benefits of Dental Implants

When a patient chooses to get dental implants, they can look forward to the following unique advantages:

  • Perfectly Stable: Implanted teeth are held within the jawbone just like real ones, meaning patients can eat whatever they like without having to worry about their restorations slipping or breaking.
  • Smile for the Camera: Our implant restorations are custom-made using lifelike dental porcelain, giving them a very realistic appearance. If you saw an implant right next to an actual tooth, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference!
  • Jawbone Protection: Bone loss is a common risk after tooth loss, but implant roots have been shown to prevent and even reverse this. Right now, they are the only tooth replacement that can.
  • Easy Maintenance: Regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups are all that’s needed to ensure implants look and function like new for decades.
  • Built to Last: On average, implants can be trusted to last for 30 years or more, and in many cases, they’re able to endure for the rest of a patient’s life.

Indications for Dental Implants

Would dental implants be a good fit for you? If you have a relatively healthy mouth and jawbone, Dr. Comfort can definitely use them to renew your smile. Once in place, implant roots can be paired with the following restorations:

Missing Single Tooth

Instead of placing a bridge, which requires the teeth near the missing one to be filed down and reshaped, Dr. Comfort can simply position an implant root attached to a crown within the smile. This is a more conservative approach that helps preserve a patient’s remaining teeth.

Missing Multiple Teeth

Prosthetics like partial dentures and multi-tooth bridges can also be secured in place using dental implants. Compared to their removable counterparts, implant-retained bridges and dentures are able to stay in place much longer and tend to have a more comfortable fit as well.

Missing All Teeth

Instead of replacing each tooth along a single row individually, Dr. Comfort only needs four to six implant roots to hold a full denture. Implant dentures are smaller yet stronger than regular ones, and they can be trusted to maintain their day one fit for many years, helping patients eat and speak with ease.

Partnered with Santa Ana’s Best Specialists

The first step of getting dental implants is to have the titanium roots surgically placed into the jawbone, and to do this, Dr. Comfort refers her patients to one of her trusted local specialists. Each one has completed this procedure thousands of times, ensuring a patient’s new smile will have a solid foundation that will last a lifetime. Once a patient’s mouth has healed, they’ll return to OC Dental Studio so Dr. Comfort can attach their new teeth.

Understanding the Cost of Dental Implants

Every dental implant treatment provided by Dr. Comfort is different based on a patient’s unique needs and situation, so the cost tends to vary quite a bit as well. Someone replacing just one tooth will likely pay less than a person getting a full denture. Despite costing more upfront compared to traditional bridges and dentures, implants usually help people save money, in the end, thanks to their longevity–regular prosthetics typically have to be replaced every five to seven years.
