Advanced Tools Deliver Next-Level Care

At OC Dental Studio, we use our state-of-the-art technology to not only make our jobs easier but your experience as a patient more comfortable as well. Intraoral cameras and digital X-rays will enable you to see your mouth from your dentist’s perspective so you can fully understand your dental health and treatment options, and our soft tissue laser helps Dr. Comfort treat the gums in the most effective yet least invasive way possible. You’ll appreciate our commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest advancements at every single appointment!

Intraoral Camera

Dentist capturing intraoral images

No larger than a pen, this device fits easily into the mouth and is able to capture high-resolution images of the teeth and gums we can display on a monitor right in the treatment room. These help our team spot potential problems in areas of the mouth that would normally be extremely difficult to see, plus you’ll literally gain a whole new perspective when it comes to your smile. Rather than just telling you about your needs and how a certain treatment will help you, Dr. Comfort can actually show you thanks to this handy device!

Digital X-Rays

Panoramic dental x-rays

Dental X-rays have long been an anxiety-trigger for many patients and parents alike because of the radiation they emit, and that’s a big reason why we only use digital X-rays. They expose patients to 90% LESS radiation by comparison, and they also deliver higher quality images and only take seconds to develop. With them, we’re able to provide world-class diagnostics while giving our patients one less thing to worry about, which is a big win-win in our book!

Soft Tissue Laser

Our soft tissue laser enables our team to treat advanced cases of gum disease without having to use incisions and sutures. Instead of opening up the gums so we can scrape away harmful bacteria, the laser is able to vaporize the tartar deposits responsible for gum disease without actually affecting the gums themselves. This instrument is so precise that any healthy tissue in the area is left untouched, and the laser also sanitizes and cauterizes the treatment area as it goes, making recovery so short that it’s practically non-existent.

Cone Beam CT Scanner

Sometimes, when planning more advanced dental procedures, Dr. Comfort needs more diagnostic information than what traditional digital X-rays can provide alone. Thankfully, her revolutionary Cone Beam CT system provides extremely precise, crystal-clear images of the teeth, jaw, sinuses, and even facial nerves, down to the smallest details. This comprehensive approach allows for confident, pin-pointed treatment while also safely minimizing the patient’s exposure to radiation.
